Season of Thanks II

This was a special listing for many reasons.  One, the listing went from one transaction to three transactions in one! Two, I was able to save a home from foreclosure. And three, I witnessed a couple take a big leap of faith. Once upon a time a husband and wife were perfectly content in their modern home. It was newly built and located in a highly desirable neighborhood. I can’t forget to mention the low rate they’d been enjoying on their mortgage too. When they came across my listing of a 19th century home, one late spring day, their hearts swelled. Memories of conversations they’d shared came flooding back... “Wouldn’t it be amazing to restore an old home?” “I’ve always wanted to live in a historic home!”

This long-time dream manifested in the shape of a two-story, inspirational gem from the 1800s…wrap around porch included! When these soon-to-be empty nesters entrusted me to sell their much newer home and help them purchase an almost 200-year-old home, I knew my role as a dual agent would be significant. Representing the seller and the buyer is a responsibility I take very seriously. The seller was grateful that I was able to get her market value for the home. and the buyers were excited to start this new chapter. Their adventure will go far beyond closing day and I can’t wait to see the final results of the restoration!
